Nice pic magic.what film iso 50??.Do you change films for different shots??

Keerthi,
good work. But this is what i feel. The beauty of the night lies in its mysteries,in those invisible images,in those unknown things that our mind rushes to fill. Not in its light and its visibility :).

Super pix, nice composition. A little bit more contrast in lighting would be great.

ML,
The picture seems to say...
Gloom deep within
zoom out to see the beauty around
And you will be glad you did!

Lovely pic.

A word to Keerthi:
That's copyright infringement isn't it?
I think the beauty of a pic/art is in the original presentation by the photographer/artist. Any "second hand" manipulation makes the art "empty".

beautiful, molu.feels like one has reached the 50's or 60's.the desolate, grey expanse!
even the dog's world can be beautiful, if seen through artistic eyes, right?

Cosmic,
That was just keerthi trying to present the same picture in a different way.He is a photoshop GURU and guess he wanted to show his skills. And he presented his version for us.It was all in the context of creativity :).

Guess what, ML is becoming famous. The more the people get inspired by your work. The more famous u become.

Senthil - Isn't art and creativity always an excuse for everything?

LOL - i am sure there was no infringement intentions..but it was just interesting that he/she replaced ML's copyright with his/her own!!

ML, nice pic.

My opinion on the rest:

In this case though Keerthi's intentions are pretty clear... ML,guess its time for you to copyright your stuff. If you think your work is worth enough, then you protect it! Step forward ;)

Though you can't stop infringement totally, but licensing your work gives you some benefits. I got to know about this site from K's blog (I thank K for the same). Would suggest visiting this site for more information: http://creativecommons.org

Since I'm yet to feel that I need once such license, I really don't know how it works. But you can give a try. This could help you avoid such situations in future to some extent.

K/anybody, if you have more information on this topic guide your fellow bloggers, ofcourse with ML's approval to use this space ;)

I agree with Iyyaps. Kalos, ML should seriously consider copyrighting their work (not just a copyright symbol on the pic).

Adobe Photoshop has an add-on which creates an invisible digital copyright and a website tracks the pictures usage on the internet - a lil expensive but hey - if you are so good at photography - go for it!

Ya i have read about the invisible wartermarking technique too but havent used it yet, becoz of pure laziness. I never though of watermarking my photo too(like iyyaps said dint know my work was worth anything) untill someone pointed it out to me. As far as creatives commens licence goes i saw it in Anands blog and add one to mine, dont know how usefull it will be legally, if it comes to that. They is another pakka way, will let you know once i get some more details.

Keerthi,
I do appreciate your efforts to see the image in a 'different light' and your intentions are taken in the right sense. [Only for the time being :)) ]
As it is explicit frm the caption the theme was selected to match the image, Senthil has already given words to my thoughts on that.

CB/Senthil/Iyyaps, i appreciate your support/comments.

As CB/Iyyaps mentioned, maybe its time to think about copyrighting my work :)
Thank you K for your valuable inputs, looking forward for more details.

oh ! my ! god !

cosmicblob, (why did you say he/she.. im a he, ok!) i was just trying to send ML a message. I wanted her to have a better Copyright symbol than the one she had/has.

The copyright text she's put on, could be very easily replaced, just by blurring it out. Also, the embossed thing is clearly out of fashion. So, a 2d white text with lesser opacity, will simply stay calm in the picture. And it would give more beauty to the picture.

I agree, somekind of copyrights need to be available on. But i think they make things complex. Anyways.

I also agree with Cosmicblob, that any picture looks better in original, than touched. I did not try to make the picture more beautiful. It is good as it is.

Senthil, thnks for the support. But Iam not a Photoshop Guru..im just trying out things.

Magic Lens, thanks for misunderstanding the intentions (for the time being). The intention was not as what you thot, it was as what i said to cosmicblob.

By the way, the Adobe's invisible watermark, is no good :)

Apologies, if someone thought that i had violated any copyright laws.

Awesome pic, superb composition, I love it, and this is certainly not planet earth (its heaven).

Keerthi:
A big thanks to you for generating so much of discussion and making people realize lens's potential:P. I guess you surely helped bump up the comments!!! Seems like you have plenty of time in hand to help out with such stuff! I will let you know when I need some help with photoshop soon! I have been having so much of pain making figures for a paper we are about to publish that I am gonna write to adobe to seriously think about making it user friendly:P
