Maalayil Yaaro, a tamil song frm the movie Kshatriyan.
Ferrari ty. Guess the song goes "maalai en vaedhanai koottudhadi"...
Jo, Vittorio Storaro is my 'remote guru' :D I guess u r linking it with the scenes frm 'The Last Emperor'. I loved the tint, it kinda takes one back to the memory lane without much effort.
K, that was the best spot i got to capture the 'dipping' sun. The tree just didnt move...i tried, it didnt...lol.. I loved your new post, in one word it looks 'divine'.
Not only in "The Last Emperor", he is obsessed with orange color in all the movies he cinematographed. Look at all those Bertolucci movies -- The Last Emperor, Beseiged, Little Budha - and Coppola movies -- The Godfather, Bramstocker's Dracula -- and the latest "Excorcist - The beginning", you can see that orange tint in all. He is a real master of his art.
Not only about the color. :-) I hope you would have noticed the orange color he used for the past, and the dull gray for the present in "The Last Emperor".
The gentle ripples on the still water, the reflection of teh scattered clouds, the orange tinge of the setting (or rising) sun....the dark shadow fringes...wow! Truly magical.
Thank you Baranee for stopping by, and for the comments too. Your blog has wonderful pics, I could only appreciate the pics since i cant read the script :(
Thanks Ian, i am kinda getting interested in this Orange tint.
