Thanks CB. I kept a rose in front of the lampshade and took a pic without flash..simple!
I wanted the rose to be brighter..but didnt work out.

Iris:: Nothing too deep. It's just a rose which is in darkness though it is right in front of a light source.

ML, try taking the same picture with flash, but covering the flash with 3 - 5 layers of white/blue bond papers. this is just a thought, but never got a chance to try..
I'm trying to achive a faint glow with the covered flash (similar to the umbrella effect, where the flash light is reflected from a translucent suface on to the object)
on a second thought, you dont need the flash.. just take a white paper and reflect the light from the lamp behind on to the rose.. effect is same, but might work out better..
