Found this flower near Lake McBride in Iowa. Though it has a different color I felt like there is a striking resemblance to 'kanikonna' [Cassia fistula-Golden Shower Tree], the flower which is used for the arrangement of 'Vishukkani'...

Hehe.. yeah, I was about to ask you where did you find the "vella konna". :-) Then read your comment. It looks exactly like Kani Konna except the color. But nothing beats the yellow Kani Konna! When I was travelling to TVM last week, I could see a lot of trees with full of Kani Konnas. It was so beautiful, but I didn't have a camera to take a pic. :(
